Lemurs Park is located at 25km from the city center of Antananarivo, the capital of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean, on the National Road nb1 going through to Imerintsiatosika and Arivonimamo.
Nine species of lemurs coming from different regions of Madagascar wander freely in this botanical garden covering an area of five hectares of small forest. The lemur being the symbol of the endemic fauna of the Great Island is definitely one of the most attaching animals of this planet. And the opportunity to see this fabulous mammal in a natural habitat has become rare because of deforestation.
Lemurs Park has thus been created so that everybody will be able to discover this surprising animal. Anybody who loves animals and nature will be satisfied. It has also been created to allow for the reintroduction of the lemurs born in the park into the wild.
This is a real big challenge that we wish to make true! Just at the gates of the capital, this is a wonder land of lemurs in total freedom. This is also a privileged place maintained and preserved with passion.
This five-hectare zone, by Katsoaka River, hosts now nine species of lemurs coming from different regions of Madagascar, but also most species of the fauna and flora of Madagascar.

Meet Olivia Niaina and the team at ESF, your local connection in Madagascar. We operate from our central office in the Malagasy capital of Antananarivo, and take great pride in sharing our country with you. We aim to let you experience the warm hospitality of the people and the unique and endemic flora and fauna of Madagascar. However, we also encourage people to examine the social and environmental issues facing our country, to ensure Madagascar is here for their children and grandchildren to enjoy as well.
